In 2012, the architect Dame Zaha Hadid erected the Galaxy Soho in Beijing (see below). The four-dome structure seems to flow into and out of itself, revealing interior courtyards reflective of traditional Chinese structures. Bringing together the ultra-modern with tradition, Zaha Hadid built an impressive array of architectural creations that won her the critical praise, such as winning the prestigious Pritzker prize, being the first woman to do so. Zaha Hadid died of a sudden heart attack at the age of 65.
One notable trait in her designs are the fluid lines, the curves, the domes as seen in Galaxy Soho, so too as in this photograph of Zaha Hadid's Heydar Aliyev center in Baku Azerbaijan and the image below of a computer-generated photograph of her World Cup stadium in Qatar.
